TV personality Bonang Matheba was on Monday announced as the emcee for the 2018 African Women in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) Awards.
The announcement came through the organisation’s Twitter account and read: “We are proud to announce multi-award winning radio host, TV presenter and style icon @bonang_m as the 2018 #AWEIFAWARDS Masters of Ceremonies [sic].”
According to the AWIEF website, the awards are meant to “recognise, honour and celebrate Women Entrepreneurs and Business Owners in Africa and across industry sectors, for their economic performance and contribution to Africa’s growth and social development.”
Bonang responded to the announcement by AWIEF by adding that she was “so excited
