Former President Jacob Zuma will know over the next two days whether or not he will have to pay his own legal fees to fight corruption charges against him.

The Democratic Alliance lodged an application in March this year in which it asked the court to set aside the government’s decision to pay for Zuma’s legal fees.

The North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria will hear the matter.

It comes ahead of Zuma’s next court appearance at the end of this month on charges of corruption, money laundering and racketeering.

Zuma is opposing the DA’s application saying he agreed to repay the state after the completion of the criminal charges against him, especially if found guilty of the offences.
