Letoya Makhene’s grandmother has lived for over a century. Taking to social media, the actress announced her gogo’s birthday and wished her well.
Letoya says her grandmother is 101-year-old and she speaks well.
The star shared lovely photos of the birthday celebrant and captioned them with, “My Queen has been blessed with #101 years. I’m so grateful that we still have you around, not only that, but that we can still have a solid conversation, that we can still come to you for advice and that you are still able to tell us stories about your life growing up as a child,” she wrote.

Law and Order star Joanna Merlin has died at the age of 92. The actress passed away in Los Angeles following complications of myelodysplastic syndrome, which is a bone marrow disorder.
The New York University Tisch Graduate Acting Program, where she was previously an acting teacher, announced her death on Instagram on Sunday and wrote: “We are saddened to share news about the passing of our beloved Joanna Merlin.” They continued: “Joanna was an actress, master Chekhov teacher, and former casting director for Harold Prince, Stephen Sondheim, Bernardo Bertolucci, and James Ivory.
