Residents of Kanyamazane in the Mbombela Local Municipality have vowed to continue protesting over plans to stop a project to fix their homes.
It’s been over a week since they began demonstrating.
Community members want government to rebuild their homes, which were damaged by storms in May.
Mpumalanga premier Refilwe Mtshweni is expected to visit the area again on Monday after a hostile reception from the community last week.
Residents wanted to discuss their concerns with President Cyril Ramaphosa.
They say they’ll now give the premier another chance.
They also want a date established when government will start fixing their homes
