The trial of Nigerian pastor Timothy Omotoso trial continues in the Port Elizabeth High Court when the second State witness takes the stand.
Last week, Cheryl Zondi, the first state witness, waived her right to be unnamed in the s-e-x trial involving Omotoso and his two alleged henchwomen because she wanted the world to know what type of person he is.
Omotoso’s lawyer applied for Judge Mandela Makaula to recuse himself.
Makaula ruled that the application had no merit.
Peter Daubermann then requested more time to consult with his senior counsel on the matter.
He said he’s even prepared to take his application to the Supreme Court of Appeal to have the judge removed.
The televangelist has been charged with r@pe, human trafficking and s-e-xual harassment.
Omotoso and his two co-accused face a total of 97 charges.
