The concept of sampling old music and reworking it into something new has become a large part of producing hip hop music all over the world but there’s sampling and then there’s downright passing off somebody’s work as your own and the Twitter streets seem to think that that is exactly what Nadia Nakai did with her new single Yass B***h.
According to Twitter fans (and haters) the artist has taken her love for Nicki to a whole new level.
Nakai dropped the single yesterday and a few keen-eared music fans immediately picked up the similarity between the single and another track released in 2014.
Nadia straight up, unashamedly reiterated Nicki Minaj feat Soulja Boi "Yass Bish" from 2014?

I bet Cassper was the one who advised Nadia Nakai to steal Nicki Minaj and Soulja boy's song, since he stole Drake and Soulja boy's song Nigga We Made It #YassBitch

It's good y'all finally realise Cass is Nicki branding Nadia like he Drake branded himself #YassBitch

Take a listen to both songs, starting with Nadia’s single. And please be warned, both songs contain strong language:

Does Nadia’s single qualify as having sampled the Nicki Minaj single?
