According to the late actress’ agency MLA, she took her life on Tuesday at the age of 34. The cause of death of award-winning Shoki Mokgapa has been revealed.
This was after a long struggle with depression and anxiety. “She was a brave woman who had been seeking help but the disease proved to be stronger than her,” said the agency.
Meanwhile, Shoki’s colleagues and fans have paid tribute and sent condolences to her family. Clive Morris Production said: “We’re extremely sad to hear about Shoki’s passing.
“Everyone here loved working with her and she will be greatly missed. “Our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.”
A memorial service is planned for Tuesday. Details about the funeral are yet to be decided. Shoki starred in various television shows including Ashes to Ashes and Intersexion.
