Deputy President Paul Mashatile says government’s motto now is to strategically put its policies into action. Mashatile gave the keynote address at the Three Decades of Democracy in South Africa Conference at the University of Johannesburg.
He has lamented the fact that the country possesses sound policies yet struggles with their execution due to a lack of accountability. He says the executive is now exploring the concept of “deliverology” aimed at delivering results.
Mashatile says through mechanisms such as Operation Vulindlela in the Presidency, government will continue to monitor and strengthen the transformation efforts to improve the lives of South Africans.
