Gordinho is set for an early return to Naturena after the Glamour Boys requested to have his loan spell at Siwelele cut short on Thursday.
Kaizer Chiefs have recalled defender Lorenzo Gordinho from his loan spell at Bloemfontein Celtic. “The two clubs are in discussions, and we hope to finalise the matter in the next few days,” Motaung commented on his club’s website, before revealing Gordinho’s earlier request to return.

“The player also made a request to return to Chiefs after the reported problems the club has been going through.”
Chiefs’ defence has come under scrutiny in recent days, with coach Giovanni Solinas’ side conceding in each of their three Absa Premiership fixtures thus far.
In their season-opening encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns, an error at the back that leads to a penalty saw Amakhosi settle for a 1-1 draw.
Last week, Amakhosi suffered an embarrassing 3-1 defeat to Bidvest Wits at the FNB Stadium, with Daniel Cardoso and Eric Mathoho once again coming under fire over elementary errors.
Solinas then switched it up in the MTN8 quarter-final win over Free State Stars last weekend, with Siyabonga Ngezana replacing Mathoho alongside Cardoso, which proved successful as they registered a clean sheet.
However, another schoolboy mistake from Cardoso in their midweek clash against Baroka lead to an own-goal which cost Chiefs a possible three points.
Meanwhile, Gordinho has helped Celtic to a spotless record in defence in their two games thus far, convincing his parent club that he is the necessary missing link in their defence.
With Teenage Hadebe still recovering from injury, Gordinho will now be expected to re-establish himself in the Soweto giants’ backline as they look to bounce back in the league race.
