Minnie Dlamini Jones wants to focus more on being behind the camera. Although she loves being on camera, it looks like producing has stolen her heart.
Minnie Dlamini really blew our minds with the quality of her three-part reality show Becoming Mrs Jones. The show, which gave viewers a look at the TV personality’s wedding journey, was produced by her company Beautiful Day Productions and it was an instant hit!
She said during an interview on The Drive on Metro FM: “I’ve still got an appetite for television, sort of being on camera, but I do think in the next couple of years I’ll be moving very far away from on-camera and really dedicating most of my time to production.”
She explained that she loves the idea of creating content and shaping society through art.
“It’s beautiful, I love it, and I just feel like it’s the natural progression in my career. It’s a way more lucrative business than being on camera.”
When it comes to her biggest fear in this space, Minnie said it has to be not creating what people expect her to create in terms of quality. She elaborated: “In terms of ‘is it good television, is it breaking the boundaries, am I staying true to the brand that I’ve build already, and am I able to translate that into my new business?’’
